Award-winning singer Robert Plant is best known as the frontman and lyricist of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. He released several platinum-selling albums with the band and sold over 300 million copies. Plant also earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 1982, Plant pursued his solo career and released his debut album, Pictures at Eleven. By 2007, he started working with Alison Krauss. The same year, they released their first collaborative album, Raising Sand, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and dominating the Top Rock Albums. The highly-acclaimed effort, which spawned hits like “Please Read the Letter” and “Rich Woman,” went platinum in several countries, including the U.S. Moreover, Raising Sand later won Album of the Year at the 2009 Grammy Awards and Americana Music & Honors Awards.
After the stellar debut of their collaboration, Plant and Krauss released another critically acclaimed effort, Raise the Roof. The record features the Grammy-nominated hit “Can’t Let Go,” which performed well on the charts, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and topping the Independent charts. The album was later nominated for three categories at the 65th annual Grammy Awards.
