+LIVE+ and Stone Temple Pilots are uniting for a massive joint tour for an epic ‘90s throwback. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Live's Throwing Copper and Stone Temple Pilots' Purple, this 19-city trek is kicking off on the 16th of August in Concord, California before closing on the 15th of September in Indianapolis, Indiana. The two bands will alternate closing off the shows and they will be joined by ‘90s trailblazer Soul Asylum. For this show at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, fans will be blessed by a closing set from +LIVE+.

Stone Temple Pilots have sold over 70 million copies of their albums across their 3-decade career. They broke through the industry in 1992 with their debut album “Core” that peaked #3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Meanwhile, +LIVE+ has sold over 22 million albums worldwide. They’ve earned two #1 albums: Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. The first one being the album we’re celebrating on this tour.

Reminiscing on their old songwriting processes, STP drummer Eric Ketz said in an interview with Pause and Play: "We could run to any room in the house with a microphone and help out with a song. Brendan loves to try different things. He's really into spontaneity, so there were tons of great guitar leads in all sorts of places, like the bathroom and the entryway. I even set up my drums in a cedar closet upstairs. And I did the drums for 'Big Bang Baby' on the front lawn. A lot of the songs you hear were written right there, in the heat of the moment."

When these two bands come together this year for a joint tour, you can expect a lot of classics to be played. “Interstate Love Song,” “Plush,” “Big Empty,” “Lightning Crashes,” “Selling The Drama,” “I Alone,” “Runaway Train,” “Black Gold,” “Misery,” “Superman’s Dead,” ‘Clumsy,” and “One Man Army”... yep they're all on the list of songs that are expected to be played. Regardless of which band is performing first and last, one thing is for sure - you'll have an amazing time at this show.
