James Taylor has written some of the most beloved songs of the 20th century. Throughout his five-decade career, he has written and released over 40 singles, six of them hitting number 1, while seven entered the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Taylor released his debut album, Sweet Baby James, in 1970, peaking at number 3 on the Billboard 200.
