Nineties R&B icon Jodeci is a platinum-selling quartet from North Carolina. In 1992, the group achieved their phenomenal breakthrough upon releasing their commercially successful debut album, Forever My Lady. The album peaked at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and topped the R&B Albums chart. Spawning the group’s most popular gold-certified hit, “Come & Talk to Me,” the record brought the band’s fame to unprecedented heights. Forever My Lady was later certified triple-platinum after selling over three million copies in the U.S.

The group released two more albums, Diary of a Mad Band in 1993 and The Show, the After Party, and the Hotel in 1995. Both efforts topped the R&B charts and entered Billboard 200’s Top 5. Diary of a Mad Band featured the hit singles “What About Us,” “Cry For You,” and “Feenin.” The record also features Missy Elliot, Redman, and Timbaland guest performances. Diary of a Mad Band found incredible commercial success in the U.S., selling over four million copies. Two years later, Jodeci’s follow-up effort The Show, the After Party, the Hotel made waves across the music world thanks to hits like “Freek’n You,” “Love You 4 Life,” and “Get On Up.” It was reported in 2015 that the album had sold over five million copies worldwide, three million of which were sold in the U.S.

After their fantastic success, Jodeci took a long hiatus and reunited only in 2014. The reunion was held at the Soul Train Awards, where Jodeci sang their incredible hits, "Come and Talk to Me," “Freek'n You," "Stay," and "Forever My Lady.” They also performed their new song, “Nobody Wins,” featured in their 2015 album, The Past, the Present, the Future. Released after a two-decade hiatus, the album peaked at number 2 on Billboard’s R&B chart and featured guest performances from B.O.B. and Mila J.

Jodeci’s incredible career has resulted in numerous accolades, including three Billboard Music Awards and two Soul Train Music Awards. In 2012, they were inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.
